Club member Vincent Black will help shed some light on the sometimes confusing topic of Digital Asset Management. Software, folders structures, options for backup, and keywording will be discussed. Mac based DAMs iPhoto to Aperture 3 will be discussed, although the ideas presented will be usefule on other platforms as well.

Welcome to Photo Venture Camera Club
Thank you for stopping by the Photo Venture Camera Club (PVCC) website.
We are a group with more than 100 club members and meet on a regular basis. Whether you are a novice wanting to learn more about the art of photography or you are a professional that would like to hone your skill while helping others, PVCC welcomes all skill levels. You will find a wealth of information on this site as well as a gallery for displaying our member's work. Other aspects of this site include our weekly newsletter, competitions, monthly field trips, up-to-date news, a library of material and more. All you need is an interest in photography.
Club Meetings
The PVCC holds their weekly meeting each Thursday at the Indianapolis Art Center. (Changes will be announced in advanced)
Pre-meeting activities begin at 6:30 PMand include informal discussion, sharing photos and Photoshop tips and tricks. There are discussions on specific topics the first and third Thursday of the month.

Revisions that would update the Photo Venture by-laws were presented to the members at the Jan. 5 meeting. Please take a moment to review them here before voting on the revisions at an upcoming meeting.
Next Field Trip
When: Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 Time: 8 - 10 a.m. Where:Garfield Park Conservatory at Garfield Park, Indianapolis Cost: $7
Note: Time is 8 a.m. sharp. The doors will remain open only long enough to get our equipment inside. If you leave the Conservatory you will not be able to regain entry. The Conservatory is closed to the public until 10:00 AM. We can stay beyond the 10:00 AM time, but tripods will not be allowed after 10 am.
This Saturday will coincide with the Neo-Natural Blown Glass event by the students and staff of Ball State and Anderson University Fine Arts classes featuring about 20 blown glass sculptures among the plants. This is an opportunity to photograph in the Conservatory using tripods without having to pay the standard fees of $25 per hour (non-professional) or $450 (professional).
